THE SESSION

What can I expect during the session?

My goal is to create a relaxed and fun experience while capturing genuine emotion.  I shoot on location at your home, in your neighborhood, in a park or fun urban location. I only use natural light. If we're shooting with children, I find it best to let them be kids. The more you treat the session as playtime vs serious business, the better. I have a creature of my own, so I know the drill! Do not worry at all - it will end up being a great time!

What should we wear?

Whatever makes everyone feel comfortable! Colors and layers are fun. If possible, I would avoid bold patterns and items with logos, characters or writing. I'd also avoid all wearing the same color. If you're unsure and want a second opinion, feel free to send me a pic of what you had in mind. I can also offer suggestions if you'd like.

Should we bring anything with us?

A blanket to sit on can be handy - especially with babies. A special toy that inspires play (balls, bubbles, balloons) can also bring out some great moments with kids. I also recommend having some non messy snacks and a drink on hand.

How do I prepare for a newborn session, do I need anything? 

You don't need to do a thing. I'll send you some info ahead of time with a couple things that are helpful to have on hand, but you don't need to clean up, time your feedings, or any of that. I know you're not getting much sleep, we'll keep it stress free.

AFTER THE SESSION

How soon can I see the photos?

I will send you a sneak peek within 48 hours of your shoot - I know it's exciting and you can't wait to see them! All of your images will be uploaded to your private online gallery within 2-4 weeks of the session.

How many photos will I see and get to keep?

I select and edit the best images from our session, a minimum of 50 images. You get all these as high resolution jpeg files. For mini sessions, you get a minimum of 20 images. 

​

Will the images be in color or black & white?

I usually provide a mix, and will edit the image depending on what I think best suits the photo.
